“Gwenyn Hill Farm – Organic Food – Farm to Table

Presenter: Laurel Blomquist

Monday, March 11, 2019 10:30 am – 12:00 pm

Hosted by Yoga 4 All Studio & Wellness Community

Do your kids run screaming from the table when you present them with anything green? Are you concerned that your children are surviving on fried potatoes and macaroni and cheese? Never fear, this month’s facilitator, farmer Laurel Blomquist, has ideas for getting your kids to try vegetables and even grow to love them. Laurel is the Head Gardener at Gwenyn Hill Farm, a brand new 400 acre organic farm in the town of Delafield. She is passionate about eating local and incorporating vegetables into your diet. Laurel will talk about what a CSA is, how theirs works and what they are growing. She is a trained chef and taught English to elementary school children in South Korea for 3 years. Linda Halley, the General Manager of the farm, will talk about future plans for the farm and the benefit of eating organic, both for people and the environment. Linda was a pioneer of the CSA movement in Wisconsin and has 25 years of experience in organic farming. She is passionate about educating professionals and the public about organic agriculture. She is a frequent speaker at organic farming conferences and has contributed to numerous newsletters and trade publications. In 2003, Linda received the Organic Farmer of the Year award from the Midwest Organic and Sustainable Education Service. Coffee donated by Cafe Buzzz in Wales. Please RSVP for this FREE event at
