Registered Yoga Teacher & Studio Owner
Marie worked in the field of medical Speech-Language Pathology for over thirty years and has been a registered yoga instructor since 2009. She was trained at the Feel Your Best Yoga Teacher Training School in Mequon where she completed 210 hours of teacher training. She is currently working on her RYT- 300 hours through Yoga Fit and has earned the Yoga Alliance designation of ERYT (Expert Registered Yoga Teacher) indicating over 1,000 hours of teaching experience. She is a fully insured member of Yoga Alliance and continues her education by attending annual conferences and workshops, as well as, ongoing self-directed study. The philosophy of her training is “It is the person, not the pose” that matters and emphasizes that yoga can be accessible to all human beings using the concept of “moderation and modification.” Marie completed a 20 hour training in Trauma Center – Trauma Sensitive Yoga with Keri Sawyer at Yoga 4 All in June, 2019.
She is the owner and manager of Yoga 4 All Studio and Wellness Community. She currently teaches Yoga for Health and Fitness, Restorative Yoga, & Therapeutic Yoga classes at the studio. Her area of special interest is in helping students to feel their best in spite of the complaints of aging, injuries, disease processes and personal challenges of all varieties. She offers a multi-level class that encourages students to listen to their bodies and find the right balance between exertion and relaxation using yoga props as necessary. In depth instruction in relaxation techniques including pranayama (breathing techniques), and guided progressive relaxation are included in each class.
