YOGA THERAPIST • InstructoR • STUDIO OWNER

Beth Major

Beth is a lover of all that yoga has to offer and has been practicing since 1986 when she first stepped on the mat as a vehicle for stress relief during law school.  After a legal career in Chicago, a few international moves with her family, Beth moved to Wisconsin and became a certified yoga teacher over 10 years ago. She is fascinated by the connection of the body, mind, heart and spirit and meeting all through the healing modalities of yoga and meditation.  Beth is  a certified E-RYT 500 teacher with Yoga Alliance.  She is certified instructor for Yoga for Scoliosis and SATYA (Sensory Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement).  She most recently completed certification as a Yoga Therapist through Inner Peace Yoga Therapy and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. In August of 2023, Beth became the new owner of Yoga 4 All.

We all have an innate healing potential and when practicing with Beth, either in a group class, a private yoga session or as a yoga therapist, she will help you foster that potential through movement, breath, mudra and meditation.  Yoga is for everyone – all body shapes, all abilities!  In Beth’s classes you will move through postures, tease out any tightness in your body, strengthen, breath and quiet the busyness of your mind – with the intention of leaving class a bit more at peace and ease.  She looks forward to welcoming you to Yoga 4 All!

YOGA & TAI CHI InstructoR

Jon Odishoo

Jon has a friendly, encouraging style, preferring to meet his students where they are and listening intently to their needs, whether they are new to the practice or a veteran yogi. He makes sure that students are rooted in proper posture and movement before deepening into healthy challenges to build their strength and flexibility while avoiding injury. Verbal posture cues are used, with no hands-on adjustments.

His classes are typically an energetic vinyasa style (one movement, one breath), however he includes beneficial balance and breathing exercises from tai chi and qigong in his practice. He also teaches other styles including yin yoga (much longer holds for joint health and flexibility) as well as tai chi, qigong, and meditation.

He studied Pai Yang style tai chi at Rising Dragon Martial Arts in Milwaukee, attaining instructor status in 2015 after over 200 hours of teaching, and his second instructor level in 2018 after over 500 hours of teaching. Vanessa Hood, a yoga instructor at Yoga 4 All Yoga Studio in Wales, Wisconsin

YOGA Instructor

Vanessa Hood

Vanessa was born and raised in Oconomowoc, WI. After moving away for college and spending 6 years living outside of St. Louis, MO she knew she wanted to settle back into Lake Country and now calls Pewaukee home.

She loves spending time with her family and friends, especially her husband Scott and their fur babies. Her favorite hobbies outside of yoga are spending time outside in the healing space of nature hiking, camping, biking, swimming, kayaking, suping, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, volleyball, and golf. She is also a ceramic and metalsmith artist and has a small studio at her home.

Vanessa has been practicing yoga since 2011 and was drawn to hot yoga as a way to actively recover when she was an avid half marathon runner and needed more built in sweaty recovery time. Back then it was all about her body and releasing the stress of pounding pavement. She started to realize the connection between the mind and body and all the positive after effects. The following year, she was diagnosed with an acute form of leukemia and received a bone marrow transplant as part of my treatment. Hatha yoga became very important as she tried to build back strength and trust her body again. Her practice ebbed and flowed as she figured out her new normal post cancer and transplant. In 2018, she found True North Treks, a national cancer non-profit who empowers young adults and their caregivers to find direction through connection. Part of their programming consists of meditation and yoga in beautiful backcountry wilderness destinations. This was really the first time she practiced meditation consistently for a week and was hooked.

Over the years, she wanted more for herself and to be able to give back to others so she took an 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course, became a Wilderness First Responder and a RYT 200 hr. She made the transition from participant to guide in 2021 and loves facilitating mindful meditation and yoga out in nature while also being able to support others in backcountry settings.
